Description

Free camping, in the middle of beautiful mountains and streams; right along the headwaters of the Carson River. Lots of options for parking in this serene meadow. About 5 miles up the road from 88 so not quick access but if you're looking for serenity this is it. Paved road all the way there. The entrance is a little tricky in a large rig (mine is 38 feet). Doable but I had to back down the entrance and then back out again because the turn was a little tight. Totally doable in any smaller rig. There is a gate that closes the road in the winter, but this is a really great spot in the summer with access to the amazing Blue Lakes just up the road.
